Buses to depart Canberra Airport for Crowne Plaza: 6.30pm, 7.10pm, 7.50pm, 8.45pm and 9.55pm

Friday 29 May
Buses to depart Canberra Airport for Crowne Plaza: 8.15am, 8.45am, 9.15am and 9.45am

Sunday 31 May
Buses to depart National Convention Centre Canberra for Canberra Airport: 11.40am, 12.20pm, 1.15pm, 1.45pm, 2.20pm and 3.40pm

Appointed Delegates Note:  AMA will only reimburse transport costs if your flight arrives outside of the scheduled bus times. Reimbursement forms will be available at the Conference Registration Desk, please note that all receipts must be submitted together with the reimbursement form by Friday 19 June 2020.


The National Gallery of Australia is a 10 minute drive from Crowne Plaza. Bus transfers have been arranged for delegates to and from the Gala Dinner.

A Family and Prayer room will be located on the ground floor at the National Convention Centre Canberra. Please ask staff at the registration desk for assistance finding the room. 


Registration fees do not include insurance coverage of any kind. Delegates are strongly advised to secure appropriate travel and health insurance. Conference organisers cannot accept responsibility for any delegate failing to cover their own insurance. 


Delegates arriving on Friday morning may store their luggage with the concierge at either National Convention Centre Canberra or Crowne Plaza. Delegates will have a chance to collect their luggage and proceed to their rooms during the Conference break times.


Your name badge will be your official pass to the conference and must be worn at all times. Your name badge will be available for collection at the Registration Desk. 


The registration and information desk will be located outside the plenary room for the collection of name badges and conference handbooks. Staff will be on hand to answer any queries and provide information.

The registration desk will be open the following hours:

Saturday 30 May, 8.00am - 5.00pm

Sunday 31 May, 8.00am - 12.00pm 


Appointed Delegate Reimbursement Forms will be available soon to download. Please submit any claims for travel reimbursement by completing the attached form and providing a copy of receipts to natcon@ama.com.au, before Friday 19 June 2020

All member delegates can vote during National Conference proceedings and Saturday's policy debates. Voting cards and information on voting will be inserted in delegate name badges. Delegates are asked to bring their own electronic devices (mobile, iPad, laptop) for Saturday's policy debates. 

Appointed Delegates only are able to vote in the election of the President and Vice-President. On the morning of the election, delegates only are required to sign in before entering the plenary hall and must show a voting card before handing in their voting paper.
