Dr Sebastian Rosenberg
After almost five years as Deputy CEO of the (then) Mental Health Council of Australia, Dr Rosenberg began work as an academic and a consultant, specialising in the area of mental health policy. His PhD was entitled "Is Anybody Getting Better? Accountability for Mental Health in Australia". He has more than 25 peer-reviewed papers focusing on systemic outcomes in mental health, with particular interest in reforms like the Better Access Program and the advent of mental health commissions.
As a consultant Dr Rosenberg led the Taskforce which established the NSW and ACT mental health commissions. He also assisted in the development of a suicide prevention framework in New Zealand. He is currently working with the Capital Primary Health Network and ACT Health to develop a new Regional Plan for Mental Health and Suicide Prevention in the ACT.
